Why?

  • If you die, you can battle resurrect and get back into the fight faster than they can.
  • If your team stays close, casters that die can heal or dps from the graveyard where melee can’t get to them easily.

This works best on flag carry maps. In Twin Peaks, fighting at your graveyard in the middle of the map has another advantage. When you die you will “rez” right near the team fight. Enemy that die will have to run back to the fight from the farthest graveyard near their base.

In Warsong Gulch, you can also use a lock portal from below the graveyard to above the graveyard to get away from pressure. Priests can grip your flag carrier out of harm’s way.
