PvP season ending soon

Attention arena and Battleground competitors! Legion PvP Season 2 is coming to a close soon. Once ended, the battle will begin again a few hours after, when Legion PvP Season 3 begins!

Season 2 – End of Season Rewards
If you participated in Season 2, in order to ensure you receive the rewards that you’re due, please keep the following in mind:

Refrain from transferring your character(s) to another realm or faction until after Legion Season 1 has ended.
Legion Season 2 titles and mounts will be awarded approximately two weeks after the season ends.
Season 3 Updates
With Legion Season 3, the maximum number of times you can Prestige will increase from 9 to 13.

Faction-based Rewards
Don’t forget—end-of-season rewards are based on your faction. The top 0.5% of Alliance PvPers will be awarded the Gladiator: Legion Season 2 achievement and mount, and the same will go to the top 0.5% of Horde PvPers. If you transfer your character to the other faction, you must have 50 wins after your transfer to receive the reward.

Where will you rank at the end of this season?

PvP Developers Q&A

Video and notes from ArenaJunkies:

General

– Leveling via PvP will be buffed

– Developers are still undecided on Solo Queue for PvP

One of the many things they’re concerned about for Solo Queue is there is a lot more DPS than healers.

Gear

– In 7.2 players can melt their gear acquired from PvP at the Obliterium forge and turn it into a currency to purchase different PvP gear

– Bonus rolls will be added for the weekly rated gear rewards

– Certain PvP mounts such as Vicous and Battleground mounts will now be account wide, Gladiator mounts remain character bound

– For Legion Season 3 you’ll be able to purchase Legion Season 1 and 2 gear from the vendor

– Developers don’t like how complicated the stat differences are in PvP and PvE currently

Duels

– Stat templates might be added to duels, but not in 7.2

Rated Battlegrounds

– Developers see Balance Druids and Mistweavers as a problem in RBGs when competitive teams are looking to find 3 Mistweavers + 5 Balance Druids per team

Title Rewards

– Blizzard is working on ways to be more transparent about title ranges

Nearing extinction, useful ArenaJunkies post sighted: demo locks take notice

How to play demo

im 2,6k mmr in 2s and 2,4k mmr in 3s atm

– u basically dot all players

– use darkglare on cd and empower it

– use hand of ghuldan at 4 shards and empower it

– and if u have spare time where u dont fear cast shadow bolt

– when u got melees on u dont let them interupt u on hand but cast dreadstalkers instead first

– if u get interupted on anything but hand just cast hand to get more imps

burst:

1) get 5 shards and axe toss target

2) call fellord on him / if u dont have use dreadstalkers later

3) sacrifice 2nd felguard on him

4) infernal him

5) darkglare out

6) empower

7) thakkiels consumption (artefact) for 800k+

play fellord vs anything but caster cleaves // observer vs caster and in rbg // master summoner+imp dreads vs mages in 2s to counter kiting

when ppl kite out of sight always cast demonwrath while moving / keep empower ur pets”

Banwave 2/2/17

“We’ve recently taken action against thousands of World of Warcraft accounts that were found to be using third-party programs that automate gameplay, known as “bots.” We’re committed to providing an equal and fair playing field for everyone in World of Warcraft, and will continue to take action against those found in violation of our Terms of Use. Cheating of any form will not be tolerated.”

Fix for BattlegroundTargets

This works.   https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20752670804

Here’s the details:

“Battleground Targets Addon Fix – Post 7.1.5
I’ve tested this and it works until the developer provides an update from the 08/2016 latest build – (credit to Krampus-Velen) for sharing.

Steps to fix BG Targets:

1) Open up battlegroundtargets.lua with notepad in the following directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\interface\addons\BattlegroundTargets

2) after opening battlegroundtargets.lua with notepad – save it to battlegroundtargets.old (so you can replace back if you mess up)

3) close the file

4) Open up the original battlegroundtargets.lua with notepad (you won’t see the lua extension this time) in the following directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\interface\addons\BattlegroundTargets

5) Once open in notepad – open EDIT then Find
search on local id
(this will bring you to the section you need to edit)

6) Replace old line with new and save and exit / then restart wow.

OLD:
local id, name, _, icon, _, role = GetSpecializationInfoForClassID(classID, i)

NEW:
local id, name, _, icon, role = GetSpecializationInfoForClassID(classID, i)”

I actually edited the lua file during a battleground then reloaded. It worked.
